New Lynchburg area repeater joins the DMRVA Repeater Network
A new repeater is on air in the Lynchburg area that is connected to the DMRVA repeater network. Located at approximately 2800 feet this system adds coverage to the city of Lynchburg as well as portions of Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell and Bedford counties among others. The frequency is 443.550 MHz, CC9. The talkgroup listing is available on the talkgroup matrix page.
Coverage should be good travelling along US-460 as well as US-29. Handheld coverage is expected in most areas of Lynchburg and Madison Heights. As part of the largest linked repeater system in Virginia, it has complementary coverage to the west (Roanoke, Salem, Rocky Mount and others) as well as Farmville, Charlottesville, South Boston and others.
